As all Internet Marketer’s know it is important to keep up with new ideas and the latest trends in internet marketing in order to succeed. I have seen the internet change by leaps and bounds over the last few years.

In today’s internet marketing world your website or blog has to do more than just be a static webpage, now it’s important to have fresh regular content and different methods to share that content e.g. your own blog, advertising it through seo or social sites eg twitter, facebook etc., and now with video - the latest thing to hit the IM world its even easier to produce new content etc.

With increasing access to broadband, video is now possible for virtually everyone to use. If you are a serious Internet Marketer then you can’t be without Video, even if you are not an Internet Marketer you can still use video for your own personal use, eg. video emails, video postcards etc.

The local business owner can now use video to promote his website with ease.  Video allows you new opportunities to get your message out there easier, regardless if it is for business or personal use, the ideas are endless.

As Internet Marketers know only to well, in this game things evolve so fast all the time, you find yourself forever learning new stuff, so when the latest thing came along ie video its,  “Oh no not another thing to have to learn and spend money on”, so you can imagine how excited we were when this great new software came out that took all the pain out of having to try to be an expert at learning how to make videos and learn all the technical stuff, you can easily make a quality, professional looking video in less than 5 minutes.

So if video is something you have been wanting to try but felt really intimidated by it up to now, well you don’t have to be anymore, try your hand at making professional looking videos either for business or personal use but don’t want to spend lots of money on some software that you don’t really know that you will really use in the end, now is your chance to grab the same software that I use for FREE!

In order for you to succeed online your mindset has to be right, by carrying out the following 3 steps, it will keep your mind focused and you 100% committed in achieving your own successful online business.

  STEP 1- GOALS

They must be Achievable & Believable

Write them down on a piece of paper, so you can see them at all times.  Sit in a quiet room on your own and think about what you would like before you write it down.

You need to ask yourself what you really want, how you are going to achieve it and make sure you write next to each goal the date you will achieve it by.

Picture each goal in your mind, don’t just say, to get rich, but exactly how much money you want, write down a figure and how you propose to get this money, e.g. Sell 100 eBooks by such and such a day – be specific, the same if you say you want a big house, you have to picture that house in your mind, how many rooms, colour scheme, furniture etc, as though you are already in possession of it.

Do that with all your goals you write down.

Written goals assist you, they keep you focused as there will be times that you become frustrated, despondent and want to throw in the towel, seeing your written goals will pull you through those bad times and keep you focused and on track to succeed.

You often hear of successful people in business who did exactly that and wrote down their goals when starting out and then way down the line came across that bit of paper and found that they did achieve those goals and by the said dates, why because they believed in themselves, that they could and would do it, they were determined, unless you do the same and believe and have a very strong desire, it will not happen.

Once you have done your goals – write down what you will give back when you achieve your goals.  I believe life is not just about taking but giving back too – so maybe you can do something to help someone else.

Make sure you picture in your mind as if you are already in possession of your goals, seeing each little detail, do this before you go to sleep at night and upon waking in the morning.

 STEP 2 - PLAN

Plan out your business, step by step, write down exactly what you need to do, how and date needs to be achieved by.

Then break it down so have a daily planner, prioritise so the most important task gets done that day, by taking it in smaller chunks won’t seem so daunting and easier to achieve.

By doing this it will keep you focused and on track to achieving your successful online business.

When you set out your plan make sure to balance it out, as we all need balance in our lives, so dedicate so many hours to work, rest and play.

STEP 3- TIME MANAGEMENT

Time management is so important in Internet Marketing, as you can easily waste so much time and accomplish nothing, the trouble with this line of business is you can so easily get caught up in spending hours opening up emails and surfing the net.

I was asked to keep a time log, as I found I would spend sometimes days working my online business and not achieve anything but once I kept my time log I found my time was going on reading emails, surfing the net from links that directed me to them from the emails, friends phoning or popping in for a favour, or sometimes just daydreaming out of the window.

Keep a time log, amazing how it works and makes you stick to what you are suppose to be working on.

Write down what you are doing time started it and finished, even if its having a coffee etc and then at the end of the day see how you are spending your time and where you can make improvements

Make sure you only open emails no more than 3 times per day, as you will find this to be the biggest distraction and takes up a huge amount of your valuable time when trying to work online.

Another big distraction is the telephone if you do not need it, turn it off whilst you are working.

If you are working from home, I don’t know why but most people seem to think it’s not classed as real work and can just pop over when they want, or ask for a favour,  taking up lots of your valuable time. Make sure you tell friends and family that you work from home and you are not available during these times and dates so they don’t interrupt you.

At this stage you may not think setting your goals, plan and time management is important but if you look at all successful people in life, online and offline they have all followed this formula.

O.k. once you have done all the above you are ready to start the journey of your online business.

Yes, it sounds ridiculous but it’s true.

This mom really is making $1041.80 a month in
*passive* income with ONE single web page.

No list.
No affiliates.
No joint venture partners.
No product of her own.
No work requred.

What?! Really?

Yes - you are going to *love* how she’s doing this
because it doesn’t even need a ton of traffic and
once it’s up and running (takes minutes) she just
leaves it and watches it fire money into her
bank account;

PS - You really won’t find an easier way
to make money than this. This mom did it
in minutes and is now making $1041 per
month doing absolutely *nothing*;

You Need To Fill In Your Details To Get The Facts On How She Achieved This.

Everyone that has a successful Internet Business out there will tell you, you need a mentor, all the Guru’s admit to having had one.  I have spent $1000’s on courses from all the top Internet Marketing Guru’s and any product that came out that had anything to do with Internet Marketing.  I even paid over $8000.00 for my first Mentor from a very well known large Internet Marketing Company, he was ok but looking back I do feel he could of taught me so much more, even with him I found it frustrating as he would leave it to me to come up with answers etc and back then I kept telling him (it was all done over a 1 hour chat over the phone for 6 months and email correspondence) it would be so much easier if you did videos and I could of follow them.  Now that I am more advanced I do not really feel I got value for money.

My point I am trying to make here is, don’t just get any Mentor get someone who comes highly recommended.

I did eventually find that Mentor, whom I strongly recommend and I don’t do that lightly, you have to tick all my boxes for me to speak highly of you and I have done a lot of the big Guru’s courses out there.

Some people can show you stuff and you’ll still don’t get it and others bang, because they are good at putting across what they are teaching you and my mentor was one of these people.

By this stage even though I’d already had a Mentor whom taught me the basic, I still really only understood a third of Internet Marketing.  I am very much a visual person and kept screaming at everyone to show us how it all works on video so we had something we could actually see and follow.  My new Mentor did this and I learnt more with him in the 10 weeks than I ever did with the other Mentor or courses I did.

I always remember thinking wouldn’t it be great if someone could just give me a ready made website, with a product already on it,  did not even care if it did not make me money, I just wanted to see step by step exactly how it worked, from start to finish. A lot of them want you to come up with what they call a Niche Idea, it doesn’t always happen so you never get to see how the jigsaw puzzle all fits together.

My new Mentor was the answer to my prays, I do believe if something is meant to be, doesn’t matter what road you take you’ll get there, I very nearly never got on his course because of problems with Paypal (that’s a lesson in itself!) but I am sooo glad I did, not only did he get me to take action and get on with it all, but he held us all accountable, so it wasn’t one of those courses that you start and never finish, no my Mentor he would have live shows with us, emails checking how we were doing, if we needed help etc and I can honestly say my Mentor is the only one I know that answers your emails straight back and not days later like some, which is so frustrating!

We got two one hour telephone calls with him where we could brainstorm ideas together or do an interview with him that we could use to put up on our blogs, step by step videos to follow at our own pace, gave us ready made websites, write sales copy, taught us how to put up blogs, get traffic the list is endless, I achieved so much in a very short space of time.

If you are serious about Internet Marketing and want a really good Mentor, I strongly recommend Michael Cheney, I know he is going to start another course which I am told is even better than the last and perfect, perfect for beginners - check it out yourself, he is going to have live shows as from the 15th September, don’t miss it because he gives so much valuable information for free that you can put to use straight away.

Don’t Miss His Live Show - Starts 15th September 2008

His Course The Golden Thread Is Out On 2nd October 2008

The other night I was on a teleconference call, one of the largest ones ever held in the IM world, the reason being, there were going to be 13 IM Guru’s on it, something never been achieved before. They were all going to tell their story and what their constraints were and how they overcame them and now have all very successful Internet Marketing businesses.

It was very interesting and informative, they all had various constraints but the things they all agreed on was that you should learn a little of all the subjects involved in Internet Marketing e.g article writing, keyword research, adwords, seo etc., but don’t suffer information overload and think that you have to learn and read every single thing thrown at you and don’t try to be an expert in all of it, just do the ones you really enjoy and outsource the others, there are companies out there e.g. www.elance.com that have experts in all different fields that can do it for you, for a fee.

Another interesting factor that was mentioned is that you should get yourself a mentor when you first start out, to walk you through everything and teach you the ropes.  I tried originally to do Internet Marketing on my own, not even knowing what an email was, I was just overwhelmed by it all and it was not till I got my mentor that things started falling into place.

Search engines are made up of a huge database.  If you have a website they will rank it, it is very important that you follow their guidelines in order to get ranked highly as you need to be in order to get good traffic to your site.  The popular search engines are:

Google, Yahoo, Msn

So many people have been saying for months now that using the social marketing sites like MySpace, Facebook and the others is a great way to get traffic.

But there’s been a problem and that’s been that nobody has ever showed you how to do actually do it.

Not only that but a lot of these social sites don’t like you posting your website links and affiliate links all over the place so you can sometimes end up getting blocked or just not getting any traffic.

Well I found myself in the same position - I knew a little bit about social marketing, enough to be dangerous. But the problem was that although I was spending plenty of hours on these websites I just wasn’t getting any traffic or sales.

That’s when I started to look around and realized that wouldn’t it be great if there was a way you could watch how to properly get set up with the social sites in such a way that you were guaranteed to get lots of traffic?

And that’s where Social Traffic Explosion comes in …

… with 8 comprehensive step by step videos it shows you EVERYTHING you need to know about driving lots of traffic into your website and affiliate links from the social marketing sites.

You get to see, on the screen, exactly what you need to do, which buttons to press and which hidden options you need to activate to get your profiles attracting lots of highly targeted leads that are ready to buy from you.

The videos are so easy to follow that you simply can’t go wrong with them and although they cover everything they are fast to move through. You start applying the tactics from them and seeing traffic from the social marketing sites very, very quickly.

You get shown on a guided tour on the best way to REGISTER, CUSTOMIZE YOUR PROFILE and get MASSIVE TRAFFIC from some of the biggest social marketing sites that exist out there.

And the best part?

Using these social marketing sites to get lots of highly targeted traffic is free. Great huh?

Anyway, go and have a look at these excellent videos for yourself;

Part 1

When I started learning about Internet Marketing, I did not understand any of the so called lingo, I had to try to pick it up as I went along, or try to work out what I thought it meant, so I am going to go through some of it here with you:

Niche Market - It’s when a group of people are searching the internet for a product/service or solution to a problem and not finding many relevant search results, this is what would be referred to as a niche market, as a few people are searching for something but no one online is really meeting their requirements - so this would be an ideal way to start up a profitable online business by giving them what they want, as you have proof there is a demand there.

KEYWORD - It’s a word or  phrase that people type into a search engine eg. google to find out what they are looking for.

WEBSITE - It is where web pages that contain information, videos, audio etc are placed and is hosted on one or more web servers, which you usually access via the internet.

EMAIL - Is electronic mail, its a way of sending and recieving correspondence via the internet.

SNAIL MAIL - Is where post is delivered to you the old fashioned way, envelope with a stamp and delivered through your letter box.

DOMAIN NAME - Is a name you choose for your website. It describes IP addresses.   www stands for world wide web.

TRAFFIC - Is people who visit your site.

OK that’s enough to take in for one day.
